Text Box: Zakk Wylde is the Manager at Evans Guitars.  After the death of Lloyd Evans, the founder of the business back in 1960, Zakk was assigned the job of being the Manager of the business.  Today, his job involves important daily tasks such as customer sales, the maintenance of the store and its appearance, daily stock orders placed to suppliers, the setting up and repair of guitars, and also lending a hand at various events that require the use of guitars and technicians such as music festivals, concerts, and other events such as guitar road shows, etc. Evans Guitars is a local business based in Neath that has been in business for over the last 30 years.  It was created by Lloyd Evans in 1960 whose goal was to provide musicians with the best PRS guitars and service available.  Sadly, Lloyd Evans passed away several weeks later after the opening of the business, after a long battle with cancer, and left the business to a close friend, Zakk Wylde.  Evans Guitars provides local and far musicians of all ages and experiences with PRS Guitars, masses of friendly service, and plenty of the best advice and that you can get.  There are 3 people who currently work at Evans Guitars, and they are:   Zakk Wylde - Manager   Tony Bertall - Customer Sales Representative   Jason Hawks - Assistant Manager, and also Assistant Sales Representative  

 

 

 

 

Text Box: Evans Guitars specialises in PRS Guitars only.  Both Evans Guitars and PRS Guitars work closely with each-other to develop a strong business link.  This was made possible by Lloyd Evans who was great friends with Paul Reed Smith - the founder of PRS Guitars, and Zakk Wylde continues to develop the golden ingredient between the two companies that makes such a great business link possible - friendship.  Also, Evans Guitars works closely with PRS Guitars’ factories and dealers that are based in the UK and in the USA to develop strong business links and also to provide customers with the best guitars and service possible, and also for the best value for money.  Evans Guitars purchases the stock directly from PRS Guitars’ factories and dealers in the UK and the USA, and sells them at the store.  Or, if a customer wanted a certain guitar that isn’t in stock, then it can be ordered at Evans Guitar, and then delivered to the shop ready for the customer to pick up.  PRS Guitars, the abbreviation for Paul Reed Smith Guitars, is an American Guitar Company.  They specialise in handmade custom electric guitars that are made to the highest standard from the best quality materials, by the highest skilled luthiers.  The company was originally started by a man called, Paul Reed Smith, who built his first guitar as a project for his music teacher when he was a young boy.  He received an ‘A’ grade for his outstanding work, and decided to carry on making guitars for a living.  He first did a trial run with two prototypes that he built with his small team of luthiers, which turned out to be a total success.  The feedback gained was superb as people from all over the country praised Paul’s work.  Shortly after, Paul had some major financing from well known contacts, and started up the company PRS Guitars, which is now one of the world’s most respected and highly valued guitar manufacturers.
